HONG KONG – The Asian International Brand Research Institute (AIBRI) has officially released version 5.0 of its Brand Reputation Assessment System, marking a significant leap into the AI-driven era for brand valuation. The upgraded system integrates mainstream AI large-language models with the institute’s proprietary database to deliver multi-dimensional evaluations and scoring for enterprises, brands, and candidates.
Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Hong Kong, AIBRI is a global think tank specializing in brand development and consensus economy research, with offices across Asia and a team of dozens of researchers and over 100 brand experts. The V5.0 release represents a major technological upgrade built upon years of research, introducing AI-powered deep analysis and reasoning capabilities that automate the entire workflow—from data collection and sentiment analysis to trend forecasting.
The system now serves as the evaluation backbone for several prestigious brand awards, including the CBERI Prize (often dubbed the “Little Oscar” of the branding world), the Golden Owl Award, the I&E Award, and the Golden Hai Award. Among these, the CBERI Prize is co-established by CBERI China, AIBRI, and the Golden Owl-SRI Big Data Research Institute, using the CEBRI Brand Economic Index model to quantify brand value and measure real economic contributions.
Mr. Li Zhilei, Director of AIBRI, stated that the system’s intelligent upgrade aligns with China’s national “AI+” action plan, as outlined in the 15th Five-Year Plan. “As a professional think tank in brand research, we have a responsibility to integrate AI into every stage of brand valuation—making assessments more accurate, efficient, and forward-looking,” he said.
Li further emphasized that in the digital transformation landscape, brands must leverage big data and AI to deliver personalized consumer experiences. “In the AI era, every industry is worth reinventing. The premise of brand innovation is the brand itself—its foundation lies in content, and its soul in storytelling.” The V5.0 system, he added, helps companies clearly understand their reputational assets, giving them a competitive edge.
AIBRI also announced that the 2026 “AI+” Practical Application and Industrial Innovation Forum, co-hosted by the institute, will take place on July 31 at the Hilton Nanjing Riverside. The event is part of the 14th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Impact Summit (CIES2026) in Nanjing, bringing together experts and business leaders to discuss AI commercialization and brand intelligence upgrades.
Since its founding in 1989, AIBRI has evolved from a non-profit initiative to a commercial entity in 2018, and now fully embraces AI technology. The V5.0 release is not only a showcase of the institute’s technical capabilities but also a milestone in empowering Chinese enterprises to elevate brand value through AI. With the upcoming Nanjing forum, the long-established brand think tank’s new trajectory in the AI era is set to draw continued industry attention.
